Zdravko "Wally" Ropac, 90, of Bradley passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Gilman Health Care Center. He was born April 24, 1932 in Zagreb, Croatia, the son of Franjo and Antonia (Bogovic) Ropac. He married Maria Stankovic in Austria and she preceded him in death in September 1993. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Petar Ropac; and two grandchildren, Amy and Tayla Ropac.
He is survived by one son, Igor (Johnna) Ropac of Bradley; one daughter, Michele Wheeler of Madison, WI; one sister, Blazenka Premmuzak of Zagreb, Croatia; two grandchildren, Tristan (Nicki) Ropac and Nick (Shelby) Wheeler; and four great-grandchildren, Kaden and Issac Ropac, Adrian Causey and Lincoln Wheeler.
Wally worked at Continental Can and was a member of International Assoc. of Machinists & Aerospace Workers. He was inducted into the Wisconsin Soccer Hall of Fame and Croatian Eagles Hall of Fame.
Cremation rites will be accorded by the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
