Valera E. Bohlmann

Valera E. Bohlmann, 97 of Crescent City passed away on Wednesday October 12, 2022 at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth. She was born on August 22, 1925 in Crescent Township a daughter of Fred J. and Edna (Schuldt) Meyer. Valera married Robert H. Bohlmann in Crescent City on December 15, 1946 and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2013.

Survivors include two sons- Brian (Sandie) Bohlmann of Watseka and Scott (Robin) Bohlmann of Woodland; one daughter- Victoria (Gerald) Hendricks of Crescent City; son in law- David Bettermann of Crescent City; two sisters- Vesta Metz of Danforth and Vanda (Jay) DuVernay of Lecanto, FL; four grandchildren and nine step grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother- Verlin Meyer, and one daughter- Debra Ann Bettermann.

Valera was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Crescent City and worked at WGFA radio for 23 years.

Funeral services will be held on Monday October 17, 2022 at 11:00 am at the Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka with Pastor Joel Brown officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery in Crescent City.

Memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church, Iroquois Memorial Hospice, Prairieview Lutheran Home, or the donor's choice.
