Russell A. Gearhart, 74, of Piper City passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at his home. He was born on November 13, 1947 in Wauseon, OH, the son of Gerald and Betty Gearhart. He married Donna Carpenter in Piper City on August 6, 1982 and she preceded him in passing on April 15, 2020.
Surviving are all of his children, one son, Russell Jr. (Rose) Gearhart of Adolphus, KY; three daughters, Connie Crannigan of Cookeville, TN, Lisa (Brent) Gier of Jackson, MI, and Kari (Eric) Larson of Jackson, MI; twelve grandchildren, Cathryn, Travis, Tiffany, Amber, Monique, Alicia, Zach, Brett, Seth, Eva, Kayla, and Ian; five great grandchildren; three brothers, Norman Gearhart, Phillip (Lisa) Gearhart, and Douglas Gearhart.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna; and one grandson, Zachary Gearhart.
Mr. Gearhart served as a medic for the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion and NRA. Russell was a collector and enjoyed selling at flea markets with his wife, Donna. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
A memorial service will take place at a later date for Russell and Donna.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion or VA.
