Ronald F. Stewig, 101, of Milford passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Heritage Health in Hoopeston. He was born on June 14, 1921 in Kankakee, the son of William F. and Katherine (Thomson) Stewig.
Survivors include one niece, Jean Sidle of Capitola, CA; one nephew, Frederic Maerkle of Paris, France; and friends, Joan (Bob) Sattler of Milford and Carol Saucedo of Milford.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Maerkle.
Ron enjoyed building clocks and model ships. He served in the Merchant Marines during WW II and later served in the US Navy where he became an officer.
Private family services were held with burial in Mound Grove Cemetery in Kankakee.
Arrangements are by Knapp Funeral Home in Milford.
