Rolland "Ron" S. Morrical

Rolland “Ron” S. Morrical, 85, of Watseka passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL.

Ron was born on August 3, 1938 in Chebanse, IL the son of Harrison and Marie (Denault) Morrical and they preceded him in death along with his beloved son, Stephen Morrical; stepson, Brian Musk; sister, Ermadell Hendricks and brothers, Lavern, Reynold, and Leslie (Morrical); sisters-in-law, Betsy Morrical, Renee Scherf, Ricki Sharp and brother-in-law, Chuck DePatis.

He married Linda DePatis on January 19, 2004 in Watseka and she survives.

Besides his wife, Linda Morrical of Watseka, he is survived by his daughter, Sarah (Jonathan) Osmolski of Washington, IL; stepdaughter, Julie (Rob) Simpson of West Chester, OH; six grandchildren, Celeste and Carter (Osmolski), Michael (Gabriela), Tyler (Lauren), Joshua, and Jonathan (Musk); three great-grandchildren, Liam, Luca, and Adalynn; sisters-in-law, Donna Morrical, Juanita Morrical, and Chris DeMent; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ron was the proud owner of Fashion Sewing Center in Watseka and Bradley for numerous years; then later transformed his Watseka location into an antique shop, attending auctions, and amassing a deep inventory of everything old.  

In retirement, Ron enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, golfing and never missing a White Sox game.  At family gatherings he was always eager to start a game of Euchre, his competitive spirit rivaled only by his siblings.  His sarcasm and wit will be deeply missed by his family.

Private services will be held with a burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka.
