Mary Jane Spiegeler

Mary Jane Spiegeler, 84, of Gilman passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at her home. She was born on February 9, 1936 in Watseka, the daughter of Francis and Gertrude Mae (Humphrey) Wilkey. She married Bernard Spiegeler at the Gilman United Methodist Church on September 4, 1966 and he passed away shortly thereafter.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Bernice Asay.

Mrs. Spiegeler was a member of Gilman United Methodist Church, Rebecca Lodge, Sweet Adelines Ladies Chorus, and Vermilion Valley Show Choir. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and was a greeter at Walmart for many years.

Memorial visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman. A Celebration of Life service for Mary will be private.
