Marlene Bonita Funk, 86, of Onarga passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Gilman Health Care Center. She was born May 1, 1935 in Clifton, the daughter of Milton and Angela (Green) Demierre and they preceded her in death in addition to one sister.
She married James Funk on December 20, 1991 in Watseka and he survives. Also surviving are one son, Larry (Nancy) Redeker of Crescent City; four step-sons, Tracy Funk of Alabama, Timmy Funk of Watseka, Tony Gamino of Watseka and Philip Gamino; four grandchildren, Jennifer Redeker of Cissna Park, Jason (Gail) Redeker of Cissna Park, Mallory Redeker of Watseka and Joel (Melissa) Redeker of Crescent City; five great-grandchildren, Gavin Speirs, Peyton, Drayke, Ryenn and Emma Redeker; two brothers, Dennis Demierre of Martinton and Ronald (Myrna) Demierre of Bourbonnais; and one sister, Joan Goodwin of Watseka.
Marlene was a CNA at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the 12:00 pm funeral service on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga. Rev. John Franklin will officiate. Burial will follow at Glen Cemetery in Paxton.
