Maria Guadalupe Rodriguez Garcia, 64, of Onarga passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago.
Maria was born on December 30, 1957 in Agua Negra, Jalisco Mexico, the daughter of Santos and Josefina (Santos) Rodriguez and they preceded her in death along with four brothers and five sisters. She married Simon Garcia on April 17, 1980 in Agua Negra, Jalisco Mexico and he survives.
Besides her husband, she is survived by six children, Simon I. (Kristin Parbs) Garcia Jr. of Onarga, Rolando J. Garcia of Onarga, Alvaro Garcia of Rantoul, Diego F. Garcia of Onarga, Daisy Garcia of St. Anne, and Lisandro Garcia of Onarga; eight grandchildren, Simon Quin Garcia III, Serina Irene Garcia, Lily Kyla Garcia, Harmonie Nicole Schroeder, Reina Garcia, Joaquin O. Guerrero, Angelina C. Guerrero; and two brothers, Pancho Rodriguez of Mexico and Enrique Rodriguez of Chicago.
Maria enjoyed knitting, arts and crafts, sewing, cooking, the outdoors, and her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral mass on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Gilman.
Memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation of Illinois.
