Kelly "Shorty" Focken

Kelly G. "Shorty" Focken, 57, of Watseka passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at his residence.
Kelly was born on July 31, 1965 in Watseka, the son of Donald and Rita (Ellis) Focken.
He is survived by his mother, Rita Focken of Watseka; three sisters, Lori (Tony) Glazik of Loda, LuAnn (Rick) Nurczyk of Joliet, and Lynde Wurl of Woodland Hills, CA; eight nieces and nephews; five great-nieces and great-nephews; and one brother-in-law, Ken Wurl of Chatham, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents; and paternal grandparents.
Kelly loved fishing and hunting. He served in the U.S. Army from 1983-1989.
Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka with military graveside rites by Watseka American Legion Post #23.
Memorials may be made to German Shepherd Rescue, Inc. (P.O. Box 5092, Skokie, IL 60077).
