Kathy J. Schade, 52, of Onarga passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. She was born on November 9, 1970 in Fairbury, a daughter of Kenneth and Sharon (Lake) Schade and they preceded her in death.

She is survived by her fiancé, Tracy Ryan of Onarga; one son, Jeremy (Abigail) Schade of Clifton; two brothers, Kevin (Dana) Schade of Gilman and Kenneth S. Schade of Onarga; and four grandchildren, Payson and Jessica Groff and Kennedy and Kenneth A. Schade.

Kathy was a member of the Gilman United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Kathy enjoyed watching family sporting events and playing games. She was always willing to go the extra mile for everyone and was known for putting others before herself.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gilman United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Crawford and Rev. Vicki Killus officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilman Cemetery. Visitation will be one-hour prior beginning at 12:00 p.m. also at the church.

Memorials may be given to the donor's choices.

Arrangements are by the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
