Jean Asenath Collins

Jean Asenath Collins, 75, of Gilman passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Amita Health St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee. She was born on July 21, 1946 in Kankakee, the daughter of Louis and Ruth (Cook) Huse.
Surviving are one son, Michael Collins of Gilman; one daughter, Cheryl (Randy) Lizzio of Onarga; one brother, Stephen (Lois) Huse of Gilman; one sister, Joan (Fred) Buech of Livonia, MI; and several nieces and nephews.
Jean enjoyed gardening and taking care of her plants. She loved to attend garage sales, enjoyed sewing, and playing scrabble. Jean enjoyed helping at the Onarga Theater as well as loved all of her grand fur babies and her cat, Shady.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 pm on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman. Pastor Austin Madewell will officiate. Burial will follow at Mound Grove Cemetery in Kankakee.
Memorials may be made to the Family's Wishes.
