I. Arlene Glenn

I. Arlene Glenn, 89, of Piper City passed away on December 17, 2022 at Piper City Rehab and Living Center.

Arlene was born on March 28, 1933 in Champaign County, the daughter of Ralph B. and Ruby G. (Eastin) Smith. She married Donald D. Schmohe and he preceded her in death in 1958. She later married William W. Glenn on March 5, 1960 in Thawville and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2005. Arlene was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother; one son; and one grandchild.

She is survived by one son, Daniel (Deborah) Schmohe of Elliott; one daughter, Dianne Schmohe of Melvin; two brothers, James Smith of Piper City and Richard "Butch" Smith of Thawville; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Arlene was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Roberts. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Roberts. Pastor Priscilla Geerdes will officiate. Burial will be in Ridgeland Twp. Cemetery in Thawville and Lyman Cemetery in Roberts.

Memorials may be made to Roberts Gym or St. Paul's Lutheran Church Ramp Fund.
