Herbert F. Shell, 93, of Piper City passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Luther Place in Danforth. He was born on March 15, 1930 in Piper City, the son of Albert Rosewell and Matilda (Upchurch) Shell. He married Beverly Ann Stinebring in Thawville on January 26, 1950.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Shell of Piper City; one daughter, Barbara Myers of Charleston, IL; three sons, Duane Shell of Los Angeles, CA, Stephen Shell of Paducah, KY, Larry Shell of Muscatine, IA; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.
Mr. Shell enjoyed collecting antique tractors and attending antique tractor shows with his wife. He also enjoyed family get-togethers.
Cremation rites are being handled by Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
