Hazel F. Carter, 87, of Milford passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Hazel was born on February 5, 1935 in Remington, IN, the daughter of Charles E. and Susie Marie (Johnson) Berry. She married Elden Dale Carter on August 5, 1953 in Milford and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Bruens of Milford and Barbara (Bill) Carter of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Valerie (Matt) Williams, Travis (Alyson) Knapp, and Brandon Knapp; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Hazel was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Milford. She enjoyed boating, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Milford. Rev. Doug Minton will officiate. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Milford.
Visitation will be from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford as well as one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday at church.
Memorials may be made to Milford Ambulance or donor's choice.
