Greg E Webster, 90, of Houston, Texas passed away on July 4, 2023. He was born December 1, 1932 in Danville, IL to West W. Webster and Helen J. Hitchcock Webster. He married Thelma Anne Hari on August 21, 1955. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Thelma, his parents, West and Helen, two sisters, Jane Custer and Barbara Weber. Surviving him are one sister, Marta (Ron) Ronhovde, and many nieces and nephews.
Greg graduated from Rankin, IL High School in 1946. After graduation he served in the Korean War as Sgt. First Class. After his release from active duty, he completed his education at Purdue University and Southern Illinois University. Greg had college degrees in chemistry and aviation. He was employed by Shell Oil. He retired December 31,1992 as a Senior Research Chemist in the fuels and lubricants technical service department of Shell. He was a member of Lakewood Methodist Church in Houston, TX. Greg and Thelma loved spending time with friends and family. They enjoyed fishing, boating and traveling. Greg and Thelma visited 67 countries during their travels.
