Geraldine "Gerry" Natschke, 89, of Watseka went peacefully at home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 while listening to the Chicago Cubs game surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on February 24, 1933 in Loveland, Colorado, a daughter of Richard and Marie (Schroder) Hinrichsen and they preceded her in death. Gerry married Marvin W. Natschke in Watseka on September 4, 1955 and he preceded her in death on November 3, 2014.
Gerry is survived by her daughter, Diane Natschke of Watseka; and her son, Glen Natschke of Danville.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Hinrichsen; and her sister, Valda Boersma.
Gerry was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka. She was employed for many years at Western Condenser/TRW in Watseka. Gerry later owned and operated Gerry's Custom Drapes for over 30 years. She lived to see her lifelong dream come true of the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series in 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka with Rev. Aaron Uphoff officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the Iroquois Memorial Park in Watseka.
Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka or to the Donor's Choice.
