Edward C. Laubscher

Edward C. Laubscher, 77, of Sheldon passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

Edward was born on April 2, 1945 in Watseka, the son of Benjamin J. and Marie A. (Kaufmann) Laubscher and they preceded him in death along with one brother, Donald; and one sister, Elizabeth Rudin.

Edward is survived by one son, Benjamin (Patricia) Laubscher of Eddyville; two brothers, Walter (Sylvia) Laubscher of Cissna Park and Wayne (Gloria) Laubscher of Mackinaw; one brother-in-law, Gary Rudin of Cissna Park; and four grandchildren, Grace, Harold, Emmaline, and Abraham.

Edward served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He was an owner and operator of several businesses throughout the years. He loved the community, was very generous to those in need, and always was willing to give a helping hand.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Private burial will be held at a later date at Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Cissna Park.
