Dorothy A. Cichy

Dorothy Ann Cichy, 83, of Woodworth passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at her home. She was born on September 20, 1938 in Chicago, the daughter of Victoria Skalon. She married Michael A. Cichy in Chicago on December 17, 1981 and he preceded her in death on February 13, 2020.

Surviving are three daughters, Deanne (Matt) Weir of Oregon, WI, Teri (Paul) Eckberg of Palatine, IL, and Jennifer (Mark) Downs of Chicago; one son, John R. (Janet) Wallisch of Athens, OH; four grandchildren, Daniel Horton, Lisa Gonzales, John Andrew Wallisch, and Sara Wallisch; and two great grandchildren, Lana and Xander Horton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one daughter, Cynthia Wallisch.

Dorothy was a proud supporter of the Veterans Administration.

Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 am on Friday, January 21, 2022 at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford with the funeral service at 10:00 am. Rev. Michael Ruhlig will officiate.

Burial will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 21, 2022.
