Dennis D. Wilber, 66, of Milford, IL, passed away Thursday, December 30 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
Dennis was born November 27, 1955, the son of Frank Jr. and Lela "Lee" (Masengale) Wilber and they preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Samantha (Chad) English, and Kellie (Bryce) Meredith, 5 grandchildren, all of KY and a sister Carol (Greg) Hollen of Newburgh, IN.
Dennis graduated in 1973 from Wellington High School and Illinois State University in 1977. Dennis was currently a National Multi-Species Support Specialist for Show-Rite and was an integral part of Show-Rite since its inception. He was a veteran of the show feed business and started his career in 1988 and joined Hubbard Feeds team in 1992 where he was the OptiCare marketing manager. He also served as a sales training manager in swine nutrition.
His main expertise was in show pigs, but Dennis was also well respected in the cattle barn. He was raised on a grain and livestock farm and he continued to raise and sell livestock. Dennis enjoyed competitive cooking and barbecuing in his spare time and loved to share his food with all of his friends.
Per his request, he will be cremated and there will be no funeral services. Memorials can be made to the Melissa Brassard Show Arena c/o Citizens State Bank Milford, IL.
