Dennis D. Boyer

February 25, 1943 — December 12, 2022

Dennis D. Boyer, 79, lifelong resident of Crescent City, went to his heavenly home to rejoin his family and friends on Monday, December 12th, 2022.

He was a skilled Bricklayer/ Mason who completed and managed many jobs leaving his finger print both commercially and individually around Iroquois, Ford, Kankakee, Will and Cook Counties, as well as other states like IN and GA. He loved beautifying homes and buildings with masonry work. He started as a bricklayer with Azzarelli Builders and moved up to the superintendent. He also worked for Leriger Construction, and S & A Concrete. He officially retired in 2005 but continued to work on masonry projects for friends and family as well as farming. In retirement, Denny worked as the Crescent City Building Inspector.

Denny was quite the jokester, loved to tell a good joke and loved to tease. He loved to play cards and anyone who ever played against him knew his finesse. He loved golfing, fishing, hunting, and the Chicago White Sox. The greatest passions of his life were his grandchildren and great grandsons. To know Denny was to know how much he loved his family and enjoyed them all.

He was born on February 25th, 1943, in Watseka, IL to Delbert and Winona (Sorenson) Boyer who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Larry and Curtis, and sister Lisa.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Ruth (Black) Boyer of Crescent City and daughters Cheri (Mark) Rogers of Bourbonnais and Amy (Chris) Warke of Bolingbrook, Grandchildren Abbey Wade and Becca Rogers of Bourbonnais, Collin (Nikki) Warke of Valparaiso IN, Abbey Warke of Bolingbrook and Great grandsons Bryson and Nolan Wade, sister in laws Nancy (Bob) Goris of West Lafayette IN, Michelle Boyer of Watseka.
