David A. Gossett

David A. Gossett, 55, of Milford passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born in Watseka on September 15, 1967, a son of Robert Charles "Chuck" and Donna Faye (Smith) Gossett and they preceded him in death along with one brother, Douglas Gossett.

Dave married Cynthia Fish on October 9, 1996 in Watseka and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Brittany (Josh) Allison of Lafayette, Indiana and Jamie Gossett of Milford; one granddaughter, Tinsley Grace Allison; three nieces, Logan Gossett and Emily Gossett of Morris and Taylor Fish; two nephews, Nolan Fish and Nick Kelly; one sister-in-law, Tami Gossett-Martin of Morris.

Dave was a member of the Milford Jaycees. He was an avid Cubs, Fighting Illini, and Bears fan with a special love for football. David loved music and especially enjoyed Jimmy Buffet.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Milford Christian Church with Rev. Brent Zastrow, Rev. Neil Larimore, and Rev. Tom McCann officiating with a one-hour visitation prior to the funeral. Burial will follow in the Amity Cemetery in Goodwine.

Memorials may be given to his granddaughter's education fund.
