David Eugene Fuoss

David Eugene Fuoss, 61, of Roberts passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born on July 8, 1960 in Watseka, the son of Lonny G. and Wilda (Stevens) Fuoss. He married Kris Dearth in Paxton on December 21, 2004 and she survives.

In addition to his wife, Kris Fuoss of Roberts, David is survived by his mother, Wilda (James) Fuoss Wright; four daughters, Heather (Andrew) Hazelwood of Paxton, Nichole (Andrew) Koeltz of Metropolis, IL, Cassandra (Randy) Wegrzyn of Thawville, and Ashley (John) Viner of Roberts; one son, Kolten David L. Fuoss of Roberts; one step daughter, Wendy (Darin) Brandenburg of Roberts; one sister, Sherri (Donnie) Gerdes of Del Ray; fourteen grandchildren, Austin, Jarrett, Mason, Brooks, Ryan, Christian, Cale, Kimberlyn, Knox, Seth, Gavin, Everly, Robby, and Randy; and four great grandchildren; one uncle, Wendell (Cathy) Stevens of Gilbert, AZ; two aunts, Patricia Stevens of Watseka and Loretta Kemmer of Thawville; niece, Amanda (John) Toohill of Onarga; nephew, Jake (Lindsey) Gerdes of Paxton; sister in law, Kathy (Tim) Williams of Roberts; mother in law, Karen Meuser of Roberts; and father in law, Francis (Nell) Dearth of Danville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lonny Fuoss; grandparents, Ernest and Elsie Stevens and Edward J. and Agusta Fuoss; numerous aunts and uncles; and three cousins.

David enjoyed fishing, Illini Basketball, and watching the Chicago Cubs beat the Cardinals. He loved to attend car shows, farm tractors, and cruising the town listening to music. David was a "jack of all trades" and loved spending time with his family, especially his kids and grandkids.

Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 pm on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga.
