Cyrus E. "Cy" Marcum

Cyrus E. "Cy" Marcum, 88, of Milford passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at home in Milford. He was born on February 22, 1934 in Jamestown, KY, the son of Owen Stanley and Ada Pearl (Mann) Marcum. He married Helen Louise Pew on January 14, 1959 and she preceded him in passing on August 11, 2012.

He is survived by four sons, Kevin Marcum of Mason City, IL, Terry Marcum of Bowling Green, KY, Keith (Anita) Marcum of Milford, and Tracy (Michelle) Marcum of Gibson City; three brothers, Doug (Zelda) Marcum of Russell Springs, KY, Keith (Janice) Marcum of Jamestown, KY, and Mitchell (Sondra) Marcum of Jamestown, KY; three sister in laws, Donna Felstehausen, Nancy Matthews, and Connie Pew; thirteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren; his loving dog, Dakota; caregivers, Wanda Harding and Karla Ehmen; and many nieces and nephews.

Cy was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Helen; grandsons, Josh Marcum and Dustin Marcum; four sisters, Julie, Kay, Serah, and Adalene; three brothers, Stanley Jr, Roy, and Forrest; and five brother in laws, Kenneth Bolin, Luther Coe, Gene Felstehausen, Donald Pew, and Dorance Pew.

Mr. Marcum served in the United States Army. He loved spending time with his family and absolutely cherished his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking in his spare time. Cy was a forty-year member of the Stockland Fire Department and drove a truck for most of his working years.

Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 23, 2022 also at the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford. Rev. Brent Zastrow will officiate. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Stockland. Graveside military rites will be provided by Watseka American Legion Post 23.
