Clifton Wright

Clifton Wright of Milford passed peacefully at 92 on Saturday, August 5, 2023. He was born in Hendersonville, Tennessee on March 29, 1931 to James Wright and Mattie Dixon.

He was a veteran of the US Air Force having served during the Korean War. Clifton started the family tradition of Air Force service with one grandson having been a flight medic and another a dentist in the Air Force. He worked as a diesel truck technician all of his adult life.

He married Shirley (Flowers) Wright on February 20, 1960.

He was a loving father to John (Debbie) Wright, Nashville, TN , Jamie (Steven) Fritz Manteno, IL and Jeannie Fritz Summerville, SC.

Clifton was the grandfather to 6 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wife, parents, brothers, William and James Wright, and sisters, Ann Schell and June Allen.

“You may be gone from my sight, but you are never gone from my heart.”
