Charles E. Robert

Charles E. Robert, 83, Watseka and formerly of Flint, MI passed away on December 27, 2022 at his residence.
Charles was born on April 7, 1939 in Flint, MI, the son of Charlie Alexander and Ettamae (Lingo) Robert and they preceded him in death along with one sister, Linda Kay Brown. He married Mary Ann Fly on November 11, 1961 in Flint, MI and she survives.
Besides his wife, Mary Ann Robert of Watseka, he is survived by two daughters, Terri (Skyler) Hasselbring of Watseka and Cindy Kay (Don) Tucker-Kaminski of Costa Rica; one son, Kevin Donald Robert of Wheeling; and seven grandchildren, Jacob, Jed, and Josie Hasselbring, Jeffrey Tucker, and Trinity, Adelynn, and Charlie Robert.
Charles worked at General Motors for thirty-two years. He was in a model airplane club called Balsa Termites as well as very active at Central Church of Nazarene in Flint, MI where he served on the board as well as head usher for over twenty years. More recently, they were members of Church of Nazarene in Ft. Myers, Fl.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Cornerstone Church in Woodland, IL with a luncheon to follow.
Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice.
