Beverly J. Richardson

Beverly J. Richardson, 92, of Piper City passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Piper City Rehab and Living Center in Piper City.  She was born on December 3, 1930 in Paxton, IL, the daughter of Orville and Thelma (Lee) Hartman.  She married Donald L. Richardson in Paxton on October 27, 1951 and he preceded her in passing on March 13, 2013.

Surviving are six children, Annette (Larry) Wilson of Fredericksburg, VA, Rita (Gordon) Fuoss of Piper City, Philip (Kay) Richardson of Roberts, Rebecca Blythe of Mahomet, Mark (Sharon) Richardson of Penfield, and John Richardson of Cassville, MO; eleven grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; and two brothers, James and Donald Hartman.

Beverly was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Piper City, where she was active with C.C.W.  She was a librarian at Piper City Public Library for over thirty years.  Beverly served on the Brenton Twp. Cemetery Board and was an election judge for many years.  She enjoyed sewing and reading.

Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at St. Peter Catholic Parish Hall in Piper City.  

Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am on Monday, July 17, 2023 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Piper City.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Piper City.

Memorials may be made to Piper City Public Library or Piper City Rehab and Living Center.

Arrangements are by the Knapp-Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.
