Arnold David Annis Jr.

Arnold David "Dave" Annis Jr, 84, of Paxton passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021 at his home in Paxton surrounded by his family. He was born on August 10, 1936 in Cincinnati, OH, the son of Arnold D. and Ethel (Maybrier) Annis. He married Patricia A. Whitaker in Paxton on May 10, 1974 and she preceded him in passing on December 24, 2008. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ronald Annis; one sister, Helen Newlin; and a great granddaughter, Abigail Annis.

Surviving are six children, Debra Petkus of Rantoul, Virginia Annis of Paxton, James (Kris) Whitaker Jr of Paxton, Patricia (Jim) Hardig of Paxton, Todd (Kelle) Whitaker of Melvin, and David (Traci) Annis of Clifton; twenty grandchildren; many great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, Miss Kitty.

Dave served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paxton and Knights of Columbus Council 8927. He loved to travel, enjoyed reading, and working with computers. Dave and Pat loved to go camping over the years. Mr. Annis owned and operated Annis Pest Control as well as Fast Forward Video with his wife, Pat.

Cremation rites have been accorded by Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton.

A memorial mass will take place at 10:30 am on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Paxton. Fr. Dong van Bui will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Clifton.
