Anita M. Addison

Anita M. Addison, 95, of Clifton passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Faith Place in Danforth. She was born on November 5, 1927 in Herscher, a daughter of George J. and Edna (Brough) Toune. She married Leonard E. Addison on September 30, 1950 in Clifton and he proceeded her in death in on August 3, 2015.

Surviving are three daughters, Nancy Addison of Bourbonnais, Judy (Daniel) Street of East Peoria, and Julie (Jeff) Anderson of Bourbonnais; one son, Len Addison of Clifton; four grandchildren, Lisa (Dr. T.J.) Harrington of New Berlin, Wisconsin, Lindsay (Troy) Endress of Washington, David Addison of Chebanse, and Kayla (Pat) Clausen of Chebanse; ten great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Rose Yohnka; and one son, Joseph Addison.

Anita was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Clifton having served by helping with CCW. She spent many years as a medical receptionist in a clinic in Kankakee. Anita enjoyed cooking, baking, and making fudge. She loved to travel, but most of all loved her time spent with the grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton with Rev. Doug Hauber officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashkum Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
