Richard Elliott Billingsley

Richard Elliott Billingsley, 34, of Milford passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana surrounded by his mother, sister, and friend. He was born on July 18, 1987 in Watseka, the son of Michael C. Billingsley of Hoopeston and Shellie L. Templin of Watseka. He is survived by one daughter, Sophia Billingsley; his parents, Michael Billingsley (father) and Shelli Templin (mother); two sisters, Gretchen Maxey and Tiffany Donaldson; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his aunt, Carol Ann Peters-Meyer. Richard was in 4-H growing up, showing rabbits and chickens. He liked looking for rocks, arrowheads, and artifacts. Richard was really into anthropology and geology. He worked hard and enjoyed spending time with his family. Cremation rites are being handled by Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022. The time and location will be updated on his Facebook page and this website when known.
