Cecelia R. Sayers

Cecelia R. Sayers, 94, of Lacon and formerly of Watseka and Milford, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 at Lacon Rehab and Nursing in Lacon, IL. She was born on February 13, 1927 in Chicago, the daughter of John P. and Rose (Curran) Lillig. She married Carl Russell Brazel in Kentucky on September 25, 1946 and he preceded her in death on November 27, 1995. Surviving are four children, Carl E. (Linda L.) Brazel of Milford, Rose M. (Doug) Spangler of Varna, IL, Carlene A. Hull of Wyoming, IL, and Curt B. (Denise) Brazel of Morocco, IN; and several grandchildren as well as great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, one sister, and an infant daughter, Bonita Joan Brazel. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Milford as well as the Watseka Grandmother’s Club. Private interment in GAR Cemetery will be held at a later date.
