Shirley L. Lambert, 76, Washington, IL

Shirley L. Lambert, 76, of Washington, IL and formerly of Sheldon passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Shirley was born July 24, 1936 in Lafayette, IN, the daughter of Thomas and Margerette Eberle Carroll.  She married Walter Lambert on August 14, 1954 in Sheldon and he preceded her in death on November 12, 1990.

She is survived by three sons, Paul Lambert of Germantown Hills,  Joshua (Julie) Lambert of Washington and John Lambert of Peoria; two daughters, Patricia Morgan of Pekin and Tamara (Bob) Gleason of Peoria; one brother, Donald Carroll of Fowler, IN; three sisters, Margerette Carroll of Fowler, IN, Rosemary Dauphin of Indianapolis, IN and Evelyn Groves of Fowler, IN; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Leon Carroll and nine children.

Mrs. Lambert cooked in many restaurants throughout the years and enjoyed crocheting and fishing.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Knapp Funeral Home in Sheldon.  Rev. Tom McCann will officiate.  Burial will be in the Sheldon Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Donor’s Choice.
