Emanuel R. Feller died Friday (Aug. 15, 2008) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Sunday (Aug. 17) at the Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park, and from 9:00 a.m. Monday (Aug. 18) at Apostolic Christian Church in Cissna Park until the 10:00 a.m. funeral service.

Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Cissna Park. Memorials may be made to Asta Care Nursing Home, Paxton.

Mr. Feller owned and operated Feller Locker Plant in Cissna Park for 44 years. He was born March 6, 1924, in Cissna Park, the son of Edward and Louisa Gudeman Feller. His wife, the former Cleo Leetch, whom he married July 16, 1944, in Fairbury, died Jan. 15, 1988. He attended the Apostolic Christian Church in Cissna Park.

Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law, Karol and Steve Schaefer, Sharon and Dennis Walder, all of Cissna Park, Dana and Kim Knoll of Hoopeston, Lori and John McGrew of Ballwin, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Ann Leman of Eureka, Wilma Baier of Paxton and Arlene Wieland of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Deceased are one great-grandchild, three brothers and three sisters.

Marilyn R. Frake died Friday, August 15, 2008, at her rural Clifton residence, following a short illness.Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. today (Mon., Aug. 18) at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 19) at St. Peter Catholic Church in Clifton. Father Vern Arseneau will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery in Clifton. Memorials may be made to the Clifton Swimming Pool Committee.

Mrs. Frake worked for over 30 years for Merkle-Knipprath Nursing Home in Clifton until her retirement in 2005. She had previously worked at Gerardo Grocery in Toluca and was office manager for 11 years at Frake Implement Co. in Clifton. She was born June 15, 1933, in Streator, the daughter of Raymond and Mabel Schwiderski Gerardo. Her husband, Herbert W. Frake Sr., whom she married July 17, 1954, in Toluca, died April 1, 1999. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Clifton and the CCW. She was a supporter of the Clifton Swimming Pool and had helped her husband with his work on the original pool building committee. She enjoyed gardening and crafting.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Tom Frooninckx of Papillion, Neb., Lori and Bill Lamping of Clifton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Herbert Jr. and Karie Frake of Clifton, Tom and Lana Frake of Dunlap; two stepdaughters, Mary Anne Olson of Walnut, Mary Lou O'Brien of Arizona; 12 grandchildren; two brothers and one sister-in-law, William Gerardo of Toluca, James and Alex Gerardo of Atascadero, Calif; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois and Vern Holmstrom of Galesburg, Carol and Gary Riesse of Napa, Calif.; and one brother-in-law, Ed Andracki of Westville.

Deceased are one sister, Betty Andracki; one sister-in-law, Joan Gerardo; and one stepson-in-law, Rich Olson.

Raymond H. Tobeck died August 14, 2008 at his home. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 19) at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka, and from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 20) at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Hoopeston, until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service. The Rev. James Batchelor will officiate.

Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, Hoopeston. Memorials may be made to Good Shepard Lutheran Church, where he was a member, or to Iroquois Memorial Hospice.

Mr. Tobeck worked at Stokely's in Milford and Hoopeston and farmed in the Milford and East Lynn area for many years. After retirement he worked for his brother's plumbing business and helped other farmers. He was born Aug. 11, 1930, in Watseka, the son of Edward C. and Bertha Teske Tobeck. He was an elder and trustee at his church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Lorraine May Sullivan, whom he married May 20, 1950, in Woodworth; one son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Barbara Tobeck of Manassas, Va.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sheila Tobeck-Mastin of Watseka, Marijo and Michael Stevenson of Kankakee, Gloria and Rick Sims of Sycamore; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Esther Glauser of Watseka, Lucille and Larry Marshall of Orange, Calif., Alice Cluver of Lansing; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Edward L. Tobeck of Watseka, Larry and Nancy Tobeck of Milford, Roy and Vineta Tobeck of Hoopeston.

Deceased are one brother, Arthur; and two sisters, Dorothy and Marlene.

Helen M. Henry, died Monday (Aug. 11, 2008) at the Hoopeston Community Memorial Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 14, 2008) until the 11:00 a.m. services at the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford. The Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Milford. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, Milford, where she was a member; or to the Hoopeston Community Memorial Nursing Home.

Mrs. Henry was co-owner and operator of the Milford Greenhouse for 51 years. She was born Dec. 27, 1921, in Hoopeston, the daughter of Gordon and June Romine Schuff. Her husband, William J. Henry, whom she married Aug. 31, 1941, in Milford, died June 24, 1992.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and John Sheridan of Milford, Gloria and Lewis Fritch of Wellington; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Henry of Pulaski, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are one son, Patrick Henry; three brothers and one sister.

John R. "Jack" Kimble died Sunday (Aug. 10, 2008) at the Miller Center in Kankakee. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 13, 2008) until the 11:00 a.m. services at the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford. The Rev. Rusty Beals will officiate.

Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery, Stockland. Memorials may be made to the Stockland Ambulance, the Melissa Brassard Memorial Scholarship, or to the donor's choice.

Mr. Kimble farmed in the Milford area for more than 50 years and was the former Farm Bureau Director. He was born Aug. 6, 1914, in Fountain Creek Township, the son of Eli and Viola Bosley Kimble. His wife, the former Ethel G. Garner, whom he married June 26, 1937, in Kentland, Ind., died March 17, 2004. He was a member of the Stockland Methodist Church. He had served on the Stockland School Board for 12 years.

Surviving are one daughter, Judy Brassard of Milford; one daughter-in-law, Vicki Kimble of Springdale, Ark.; six grandchildren, Julie (Alec) DeYoung of St. Anne, John (Sue) Brassard, Todd (Gina) Brassard, both of Milford, Todd (Patty) Kimble of Western Springs, Mitzi (Dave) Fox of Milford, Tara (Joe) Layton of St. Louis, Mo.; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan (Fawn) Bedeker, J.D. Brassard, Devon Brassard, Kristin Fox, Jessica, Alexander and Emma Kimble, and Madison Layton; and three great-great-grandchildren, Cain, Chrissy and Clayton Bedeker.

Deceased are his parents; one son, Larry Kimble; one son-in-law, Dick Brassard; great-granddaughter, Melissa Brassard; 10 brothers and three sisters.

Donald Breeden Jr. died Thursday (Aug. 7, 2008) at his home, following a lengthy illness. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday (Aug. 16, 2008) at the Ashkum United Methodist Church. The Rev. Steve Hartman will officiate. Memorials may be made to Harbor House or to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.

Mr. Breeden was an auto mechanic. He was born February 15, 1941 in Thawville, the son of Donald Sr. and Florence Roach Breeden. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR racing.

Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Melinda "Pepper" and Bill Ader of Kankakee; one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel "Boone" and Linda Breeden of Watseka; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol Harms and her compnion, Gary Berns of Ashkum, and Brenda Demierre of Kankakee; one brother, Gene Breeden of Loda; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are his parents, one brother and one sister.

Thelma G. Halley, 95, of Rankin, died Thursday (Aug. 7, 2008) at Hoopeston Community Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. today (Aug. 10, 2008) at the Knapp Funeral Home in Rankin.

Burial will be in Rankin Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family wishes.

Mrs. Halley worked at Electronics Components Corp. in Paxton and Hoopeston. She was born May 11, 1913, in Noble, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Thomas Arterberry. Her husband, Joseph B. Halley, whom she married Sept. 20, 1930, in LaSalle, died Feb. 4, 1977. She was a member of the Methodist church. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John C. and Pat Halley of Rankin, Samuel R. and Cora Lee Halley of Palm Coast, Fla.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Francis Lawyer of Onarga, Kathryn and Robert Armstrong of Shreveport, La.; 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; one brother, Edward Dale Arterberry of Freeport; and one sister, Irene Scaggs of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Deceased are one daughter, Verna Rupp; one brother and nine sisters.

Cromer D. Burger, died Thursday (Aug. 7, 2008) at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. Visitation  will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. today (Aug. 11) at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka., where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 12). The Rev. Paul Copeland will officiate.

Burial, with military rites provided by the Watseka American Legion Post 23 and Iroquois County VFW Post 7450, will be in Body Cemetery, Woodland. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Mr. Burger was owner and operator of Illiana Transport in Watseka. He was born Nov. 3, 1924, in Milford, the son of Harry and Virginia Mowrey Burger. He served in the Merchant Marines Coast Guard during World War II. He farmed and spread fertilizer, owned and operated Cromers Crazy Corner; and owned and operated Burgers Spreading Spraying in Thomas, Okla. He was a former member of the Watseka Elks and a member of First United Methodist Church in Watseka. He enjoyed farming, running businesses and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, the former Matha Higgins, whom he married April 12, 1969, in Watseka; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Donna Burger of Watseka, Tom and Robin Burger of Onarga; one daughter and son-in-law, Suzie and Ken Barragree of Watseka; three stepdaughters and one stepson-in-law, Cynthia Coco of Grand Rapids, Mich., Janet Henning of Oklahoma City, Okla., Susan and Mike Flanders of Marshall, Mich.; nine grandchildren, Angie Weir of Mackinaw, Travis Burger of Watseka, Brad Rose of Crescent City, Becky, Taylor, Noah and Jenna Burger, all of Onarga, Ryan Hill of Grand Rapids, Mich., Jamie Decker of Jacksonville, Fla.; 10 great-grandchildren; and two brothers and one sister-in-law, Glendon Burger of Watseka, Bob and Teresa Burger of Las Vegas, N.M.

Deceased are his parents and two sisters, Lois Newtson and Edna Barragree.

Barbara E. Kaufman, died Tuesday (Aug. 5, 2008) at the Gibson Area Hospital, Gibson City. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. today (Aug. 7) at the Knapp Funeral Home, Cissna Park, and from 9:00 a.m. Friday (Aug. 8) at the Christian Bible Church in Cissna Park, until the 10:00 a.m. services. The Rev. Herb Flinkman and Don Yergler will officiate.

Burial will be in Cissna Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Christian Bible Church, where she was a member and the church organist.

Mrs. Kaufman and her family moved to Cissna Park in 1917. She graduated from Cissna Park High School in 1934 and attended Millikin University from 1935-1937. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illlinois in 1966. She was a teacher at Prairie Dell from 1937-1941 and at Wellington from 1957 until her retirement in 1977. Upon retiring, she continued to substitute teach at Cissna Park, Wellington, Rankin and Hoopeston. She also taught piano for many years. She was born February 21, 1917 in Freeport, the daughter of Lewis and Mollie Rothery Bowlby. Her husband, Carl A. Kaufman, whom she married December 31, 1941, died February 24, 1992. She was a member of the Retired Teacher's Association.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry C. and Sandra L. Kaufman, Wayne A. Kaufman, all of Rankin; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Andy Robison of Champaign; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Cora A. Williams died Tuesday (August 5, 2008) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday (August 8), and from 10 a.m. Saturday (August 9) until the 11:00 a.m. services at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. The Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate.

She was born Sept. 29, 1931, in Watseka, the daughter of George and Rosie Boomgarden Enlow. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, crafts, gardening, puzzles and reading.

Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Lou Williams of Dadeville, Ala., Robin Rae and Scott Bohlmann of Crescent City; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Christine Williams of Sheldon, George Williams of Watseka; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Harold Enlow of Fowler, Ind.

Janet Dykstra died Thursday (July 31, 2008) at Faith Place. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 8, until the 1:00 p.m. services at the Knapp Funeral Home, Clifton. Pastor Chauncey Lattimer Jr. will officiate.

Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens, Aroma Township. Memorials may be made to Faith Place in Danforth, Iroquois Memorial Hospice, or to the Martinton Church of Christ.

She was born Aug. 4, 1916, in Roseland, the daughter of Nicholas and Mary Balder Boomsma. Her husband, Floyd Dykstra, whom she married June 30, 1936, in Crown Point, Ind., died July 16, 1969.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Walt Nolan of St. Anne, Carolyn and Glenn Barriball of Clifton; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Mary Boomsma of Bradley.

Deceased are one son, Harvey Dykstra; and seven brothers.

Mary Ann Westgor died Thursday (July 31, 2008) at her home following a lengthy illness. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, at the Knapp Funeral Home, Clifton. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, where she was a member. The Rev. John Peeters and Deacon Ron Gagnon will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Hospice of Kankakee Valley, or to the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society.

Mrs. Westgor was a high school librarian at St. Huberts in Hoffman Estates for three years, Shabonna High School for 15 years, and most recently at Dixon High School for 13 years, retiring in 2007. She was born Dec. 1, 1946, in Kankakee, the daughter of Melvin F. and Ruth E. Merkle Meents. Her husband, Virgil Westgor, whom she married June 22, 1974, in Schaumburg, died in May of 1975. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the Illinois Retired Teachers Association, the Illinois School Librarian Media Association and the Prairie Area Librarian Systems. She enjoyed traveling, quilting and flower gardening.

Surviving are one daughter, Julianna Westgor of Kankakee; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Pat and Parr Schoolman of Ashkum, Karleen Yohnka of Kankakee; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Tom Meents of Kankakee, Tim and Pat Meents of Wilmington; three stepsons, David Westgor of Seattle, Wash., Nathan Westgor of St. Paul, Minn., Christopher Westgor; one stepdaughter, Stephanie Westgor of Seattle, Wash.; four stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Her parents are deceased.

Duane F. "Dewey" Puckett, 86, of Ashkum, died Saturday (Aug. 2, 2008) at the Illinois Veterans Home at Manteno. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Knapp Funeral Home in Clifton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church, Cullom. Monsignor Thomas Mack will officiate.

Burial will be in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Cullom. Memorials may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation.

Mr. Puckett was a chauffeur for the U.S. Government. He was born Aug. 2, 1922, in Cullom, the son of Clifford and Emma Koerner Puckett. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Clifton VFW Post 2131. He was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church in Ashkum. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and driving his car.

Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy and Gary Baker of Bradley, Debbie Stark of Bourbonnais; eight grandchildren, Angie Stark (fiance, Mark Crane) of Bradley, Amber (Tom) Sherer of Las Vegas, Holly (Jesus) Quiroz and Mary Stark, both of Bourbonnais, Tiffany Baker, Christopher (Kris) Stark, and Bryce Baker, all of Bradley, Casey Baker (fiancee, Amy Page) of Bourbonnais; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ruth Massa of Mansfield, Ohio.

Deceased are his parents, one grandson, Jason Baker; three brothers and three sisters.

She was born Nov. 17, 1920, in Watseka, the daughter of Benjamin A. and Hazel Cavitt West. Her husband, Webster Cavitt, whom she married July 8, 1945, in Watseka, died April 30, 1950. She later married Nathaniel C. Both on Dec. 26, 1953, in Watseka. He died May 29, 1971. She was a member of the Belmont Club.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ben and Loretta Both of Castle Rock, Colo., Jim and Kathie Both of Watseka; one stepdaughter, Carolyn Bowen of Ignacio, Colo.; one stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Nathaniel and Jane Both of Rowlett, Texas; five grandsons, Douglas, Neil, Ben, Daniel, and Christopher Both; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Pat and Ralph Johnson, Virginia and Howard Orcutt, all of Watseka; and one brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Lois West of Watseka.

Deceased are one daughter, Carol Kasper; and her parents.

T. Roger Tebo died Thursday (July 31, 2008) at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. today (August 1), with a 7:30 p.m. Masonic service conducted by Lodge 609, at the Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park. Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday (August 2) at Grace Bible Church, Cissna Park, where he was a member. Pastor Trey Scheffer will officiate.

Mr. Tebo was a lifelong farmer. He was born May 5, 1918, in Brook, IN., the son of Thomas and Florence Brees Tebo. His first wife, the former Jean Mead, whom he married Dec. 24, 1936, in Morocco, Ind., died May 10, 1986. He later married the former Ruth Plott on Feb. 28, 1987 in Danville. She died May 18, 1995. He was a member of the Sheldon Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Odd Fellows; former president and member of Donovan School District Board 3 for many years, and a member of the Beaver Township Board. He was a Silver Beaver Award winner and a former Boy Scout leader. He enjoyed traveling and collecting toy tractors and farming.

Surviving are his wife, the former Erma Kaufmann Martin, whom he married Sept. 28, 1996; one daughter, Pauline Scharf of Oswego; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kate Tebo of Chillicothe; three granddaughters, Kimberly Scharf of Aurora, Maradee Scharf of Oswego, and Tisha Tebo of Elgin; two stepsons, Randall and Rex Martin of Cissna Park; three stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Michelle and Ralph Henrichs of Cissna Park, Audrey and Carl Block of Mesa, Ariz., Denise and Robert Horner of Cissna Park; 11 stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

Deceased are his parents; one son-in-law, Donald Scharf; and five brothers, Rex, Archie, Richard, Glenn and Carl Tebo.

Mrs. Giroux worked for the Iroquois County Clerk for more than 21 years. She was also the town clerk of Iroquois Township for several years. She was born April 2, 1921, in Martinton, the daughter of Charles and Millie Coash Hathaway.

Surviving are two daughters, Kay Dean of Hanover Park, Marcia Baker of Bolingbrook; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Lynnette Giroux of Decatur; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Lamoureaux of Denver, CO.

Deceased are one son, Robert "Bud" Giroux; and one sister, Elsie Chadwick.

Mr. Lambert had been a machinist at Capitol Products Corp. in Kentland, Ind., for more than 20 years. He was born Jan. 29, 1932, in Sheldon, the son of Gail and Pearl Hiestand Lambert. He was a member of the Milford Church of the Nazarene, where he enjoyed being an usher. He also enjoyed baking, gardening and flowers.

Surviving are his wife, the former Ida Mae Probasco, of Milford, whom he married Dec. 14, 1984, in Danville; one daughter, Dawn Lambert of Iroquois; one son, Richard B. Hogle of Vicksburg, Miss.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Prater of Watseka; and two brothers, Gordon Lambert of Watseka, and Gail Lambert Jr. of Sheldon.

Visitation for Dorothy C. Sterrenberg will be from noon Sunday, August 3, until the 2:00 p.m. services at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Milford, where she was a member. The Rev. Jason Wagner will officiate. Graveside services will follow at 5:00 p.m. in Sullivan Center Cemetery, Cullom. Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Radio Ministry or to Iroquois Memorial Hospice of Watseka. She died Tuesday (July 29, 2008) at the Gilman Nursing Center. Knapp Funeral Home, Milford, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 6, 1914, in Cullom, the daughter of Thomas J. and Caroline J. Gassler Penwitt. Her husband, Francis E. Sterrenberg, whom she married June 20, 1940, in Cullom, died Sept. 18, 1986. She was a member of the Milford Household Science Club and the Dorcas Society at her church.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Jim Hack of Champaign, Linda and Al Kellerhals of Milford; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Gertrude A. Teske died Friday (July 25, 2008) at her home. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka, and from 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Watseka, until the 11 a.m. services. The Rev. Donald Love will officiate.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watseka. Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice.

She was born Dec. 7, 1924, in Ada, MN, the daughter of Hugo and Anna Horn Hasz. Her husband, Elmer C. Teske, whom she married Aug. 19, 1945, in Chebanse, died Dec. 27, 1984. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to write poetry.

Surviving are four daughters and two sons-in-law, Lorraine Raymond of Chattanooga, TN, Linda and Larry Leveque of St. Anne, Beverly Smith of Mackinaw, Nancy and Larry Redeker of Crescent City; six grandchildren, Donald (Lydia) Leveque of St. Anne, Stephen Raymond of Chattanooga, Jason Redeker of Cissna Park, Amy Leveque and Nathan Kroll of St. Anne, Mallory Joe Redeker and Joel Redeker, both of Crescent City; and three great-grandchildren, Ty Raymond, Ethan and Noah Leveque; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Edna Yarno of Kankakee, Dorothy Knake of Milford, Helen and Mike Meents of Chebanse; and one brother and sister-in-law, Hugo and Ellen Hasz of Ohio.

Deceased are her parents and one brother, Arnold Hasz.

Visitation for Roland C. Henke, will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday (July 29) and from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (July 30) at the First United Methodist Church, Watseka, until the 10:30 a.m. services. The Rev. Hubert Lytle will officiate. Memorials may be made to Life Path Hospice or to the First United Methodist Church. He died Wednesday (July 23, 2008) in Temple Terrace, FL. Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Henke was a retired farmer. He was born April 26, 1926, in Milford, the son of Martin and Lena Geiken Henke. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brandon, Fla., and a former member of the First United Methodist Church in Watseka.

Surviving are his wife, the former Joyce Leiding Light, of Valrico, whom he married Feb. 3, 1984, in Watseka; one son, Roger Henke of Arizona; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Leonard and Sharyl Light of Watseka, Steven and Tammy Light of Salem; and five stepgrandchildren.

One sister, Rosalie Steiner, is deceased.

Wilma J. Thomas died Wednesday (July 23, 2008) at the Sheldon Health Care Center. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 24, with a 7:45 p.m. rosary service, at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 25, at St. Edmund's Catholic Church, Watseka, where she was a member. The Rev. Robert Bernotas will officiate.

Burial will be in GAR Cemetery, Watseka. Memorials may be made to the Sheldon Health Care Center or to Iroquois Memorial Hospice.

Mrs. Thomas was a caregiver to several families in the Watseka area. She was born April 23, 1918, in Milford, the daughter of Moses Peter and Louise Foley Hubert. Her husband, Earl W. "Dick" Thomas, whom she married Sept. 25, 1937, in Kentland, Ind., died May 22, 1980.

Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Dianne Juarez of Santa Monica, Calif., Rebecca and Douglas Haddow of Palm City, Fla.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and two nieces, Lexie Mabbitt and Kim Williamson, both of Sheldon.

One brother, Kenneth Hubert, is deceased.

Reva L. McCarty died Wednesday (July 23, 2008) at her home. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. Saturday (July 26) until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. The Rev. Larry Schultz will officiate.

Burial will be in Buswell Cemetery, Kentland, IN. Memorials may be made to Iroquois United Methodist Church, where she was a lifelong member; Iroquois Memorial Hospice; Heritage Woods Activity Fund or to the donor's choice.

Mrs. McCarty was born Jan. 21, 1911, in Kentland, the daughter of Charles and Vernia Whiteakker Armold. Her husband, Verle B. McCarty, whom she married May 10, 1930, in Kentland, died Nov. 9, 1994.

Reva lived all of her adult life in and around Iroquois, and was always an active member of the community. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Iroquois/Watseka for more than 50 years. She loved to cook and was well known in the Iroquois area for her delicious pies and her special recipe cole slaw served at the Iroquois Church turkey suppers for many years.

She lived in her home in Iroquois until she was 93 years old; then moved to Heritage Woods when it opened. She thoroughly enjoyed her life there being pampered by the excellent staff.

Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Lou and Floyd West of Kankakee, Betty Ewen of Normal; five grandsons, Tim (Pam) West of Bourbonnais, Gary (Jan) Ewen of Heyworth, Bruce (Kristi) Ewen of St. Francis, MN, Mike Ewen of Normal, Thom (Colleen) Ewen of Bloomington; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Kathryn Hancock of West Lafayette, IN; one sister-in-law, Helen Armold of Rensselaer, IN; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her parents; two brothers, Harold and Eugene Armold; and three sisters, Delma Herre, Myrtle Weurthner and Pauline Whaley.

Visitation for George R. Wright will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23rd at the Knapp Funeral Home, Milford, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 24th. Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate.

Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery, Stockland. Memorials may be made to Iroquois Memorial Hospice. He died Sunday (July 20, 2008) at the Watseka Rehab and Health Care Center.

Mr. Wright was born Aug. 8, 1945, in Albany, Ky., the son of Roy and Dorothy Cross Wright. His wife, the former Margaret Bryant, whom he married Oct. 1, 1965, in Danville, died in April 1979. He enjoyed fishing and horse racing.

Surviving are one daughter, Lisa Wright of Manitowoc, Wis.; three sons and one daughter-in-law, George Jr. and Patty Wright of Ellington, Mo., Bobby Wright of Salem, David Wright of Milford; one stepdaughter, Charity Wernigk of Ludlow; one stepson, Chad Smith of Kentucky; several grandchildren; four brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Wilda Wright of Woodland, Fred and Thelma Wright of Milford, Carl and Jeannie Wright of Salisbury, Md., Marvin and Debbie Wright of Watseka; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Grace and Clarence Brown, Wanda and Red Wallace, all of Hoopeston; special friend, Sherry Lucas of Ohio; goddaughter, Alexandra Morris of Danville; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are his parents and one son, Alex.
