John A. Pfingsten, 58, Watseka, IL

John A. Pfingsten, 58, of Watseka passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka.

John was born March 10, 1954 in Watseka, a son of Arnold and Mary Brechtel Pfingsten.

He is survived by his parents, Arnold and Mary Pfingsten of Watseka; two sisters, Heidi (Donald) Lomasney of Wheaton and Wendi (Devlin) Barnes of Winona Lake, IN; three nieces, Elisabeth and Leah Lomasney of Wheaton and Marisha Letherman of Los Angeles, CA; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Pfingsten enjoyed flower gardening, collecting antiques and vintage items, reading and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka.  Rev. Don Love will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery at Woodworth.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church in Watseka or to the donor’s choice.
