Geraldine L. Bland, 95, Watseka, IL

Geraldine L. Bland, 95, of Watseka passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth.

Geraldine was born May 10, 1917 in Columbus, OH, the daughter of Ralph and Ruth Banks Thomas.  She married Harold J. Bland on May 9, 1939 in Columbus, OH and he preceded her in death on April 26, 1983.

Surviving are one daughter, Donna Norris of Williamsburg, VA; one granddaughter, Wende (Jeff) Varboncouer of Watseka; one grandson, Todd D. Norris of Williamsburg, VA; and one great-granddaughter, Alexandra Hayes of Watseka.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Private graveside services will be held at Union Cemetery in Columbus, OH with John Girard officiating.

Memorials may be made to Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth or to the donor’s choice.
