<p>Born Sept. 4, 1916, in Lake Cicott, Indiana, she was the daughter of Edgar and Twilla Whiteman. She graduated from Logansport High School in 1935.</p>
<p>On January 11, 1936 she married Joe Mabbitt and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1992.</p>
<p>Mrs. Mabbitt was a homemaker and a member of the Sheldon Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, flowers, playing cards and spending time with her family. She and her late husband had traveled to all fifty states.</p>
<p>Surviving are her four children, Don Mabbitt (wife, Connie) of Sheldon, June Mattox (husband, Tom) of Goodland, IN, Larry Mabbitt (wife, Susie) of Sheldon and Crys Trotter (husband, Wayne) of Downs, IL; six grandchildren, Jeff Mabbitt (wife, Kim), Laurie Mabbitt, Amy Mattox, Andy Mattox (wife, Kristy), Kelsey Testa (husband, Joe), and Kylie Wright (husband, Chad); and fourteen great-grandchildren, Aaron Burton (wife, Whitney), Ryan Burton, Ashley Mabbitt (fiancee, Mitchell Ramsey), Donnie J. Mabbitt, Karlie, Kenna and Aidan Mattox, Savanna Mattox, Ali, Micah, Anna and Nate Testa and Brynlee and Beau Wright. Also surviving are step-grandchildren, Brian Trotter and Kellee Crull and five step-great-grandchildren, Jenna, Collin and Evan Shook, Savannah Trotter and Madison Crull.</p>
<p>Besides her husband Mrs. Mabbitt was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Caryl Isabelle; and three brothers, Harold, Charles and Lawrence Whiteman.</p>
<p>Visitation will be Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 4-8 p.m. at Knapp Funeral Home in Sheldon and one hour prior to the service. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Knapp Funeral Home in Sheldon with Pastor Joe Testa officiating. Burial will be in Sheldon Cemetery.</p>

<p>Visitation will run from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28 at Knapp Funeral Home in Sheldon, and for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service on Monday, March 1, also at the funeral home. Rev. Donald Love and Rev. Paul Caldwell will officiate. Interment will be at Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon.</p>
<p>Mr. Warren was born Nov. 7, 1943 in Watseka, IL, a son of George and Leota Lee Warren. He married Anne Wilkerson on June 13, 1964 in Sheldon and she survives.</p>
<p>Other survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Kristine and Chris Burdick of Ashkum; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Beth Warren of Watseka and Lyle and Marcy Warren of Las Vegas, NV; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Mary Warren of Sheldon; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Iva Hornbuckle of Sheldon, Irene Parbs of Gilman and Martha and Melvin Hansen of Sheldon; four grandchildren, Catherine and spouse, Nicholas, Long of Bloomington, Ben Warren of Watseka, Kyle Burdick of Ashkum and Rachel Warren of Las Vegas, NV.</p>
<p>He was preceded in death by his parents.</p>
<p>Mr. Warren was a Sheldon area farmer and machinist at Uarco for many years. He was a member of the Machinist Aerospace Union. He enjoyed farming, woodworking, air shows and the Threshermen&#8217;s Reunion.</p>
<p>Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Iroquois Memorial Hospice.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Marguerite S. Bauer, 92, of Fairbury, IL, formerly of Cissna Park, IL passed away on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010 at Fairview Haven Nursing Home in Fairbury, IL.</p>
<p>Visitation will run from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2 at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park and for one hour prior to the 10 a.m. service on Wednesday, March 3 at the Apostolic Christian Church in Cissna Park. Ministers of the church will officiate. Interment will be at the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Cissna Park</p>
<p>Mrs. Bauer was born April 1, 1917 in Cissna Park, IL, a daughter of Philip and Netta Frintz Schmidt. She married Aaron O. Bauer on Nov. 21, 1940 in Cissna Park and he preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1997.</p>
<p>Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Jayne and John Conrad of Cissna Park; one daugher-in-law, Joyce Bauer Stock of Cissna Park; one foster son and spouse, Randy and Shannon Merrill of Englewood, CO; one foster daughter, Mary Ann Landes of Albion, IN; one brother and sister-in-law, Dr. John and Barbara Schmidt of Yorba Linda, CA; four grandchildren and spouses, Julie and Doug Walder, Rachel and Blake Graham, Phillip and Heather Conrad and Andy Conrad; four foster grandchildren and nine great-granchildren.</p>
<p>Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; three sisters; two sons, John and Aaron II; and two grandchildren.</p>
<p>Mrs. Bauer was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Cissna Park. She was a country school teacher for several years.</p>
<p>In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Samaritan&#8217;s Fund at Fairview Haven Nursing Home or Donor&#8217;s Choice.</p>

<p>Mrs. Burran was born Oct. 2, 1919 in Watseka, IL, a daughter of Thomas and Margaret Gibbons Butler. She married John McIntyer on Feb. 5, 1944 in Biloxi, MS and he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1969. She later married John Burran on Dec. 11, 1972 in Danville, IL and he preceded her in death on May 16, 1995.</p>
<p>Survivors include one sister, Kathryn &#8220;Lucille&#8221; Carey of Sun City, AZ and several nieces, nephews and step-children.</p>
<p>Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mary Louise Reitz.</p>
<p>Mrs. Burran had been employed at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul for over 33 years. She was a member of St. Anthony&#8217;s Catholic Church in Hoopeston. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, flowers and her friends.</p>

<p>Other survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Trudie and Ben Imhauser of Chebanse and Jeanette Ponton and special friend, Bob Berns of Clifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Durl and Donna Jensen of Snellville, GA; one sister- and brother-in-law,  Norma and Merrill &#8220;Moe&#8221; Lareau of Gilman; one brother- and sister-in-law, Maynard and Ruth Jensen of Ashkum, IL; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother; and one granddaughter, Julie Ponton.</p>
<p>Mr. Jensen had worked as a nurse&#8217;s aide. She was a member of St. Peter&#8217;s Catholic Church, St. Peter&#8217;s CCW and the Lioness Club. She enjoyed crocheting, painting and gardening.</p>

<p>Survivors of Mr. Cailteux include three sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Glynis Cailteux of Martinton, IL, Terry and Laurie Cailteux of McKinney, TX and Dean and Teresa Cailteux of Clifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Milton Hull of Clifton and Janet and Mike Hooker of Paragould, AR; one sister and brother-in-law, Mardelle and Louie Schuh of Papineau, IL; one brother and sister-in-law, Elwood and Roselma Cailteux of Ashkum, IL;  thirteen grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>Preceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Roselma Clocksin; one daughter-in-law, Diana Cailteux; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.</p>
<p>Mr. Cailteux was of the Catholic faith. He was a farmer until 1970 and then was a millright. He was a Shriner, a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Loyal Order of Moose, F.O. Elks and member and former President of Local 1699 AF of L. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.</p>
<p>Memorial may be made to Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth.</p>

<p>She was preceded in death by  her mother, Patsy Peters and one son, Marcus.</p>
<p>Diana had been a dietary manager in a nursing home.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Betty J. McGuire, 78, of Onarga, IL passed away on Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 at the Gilman Healthcare Center in Gilman, IL.</p>
<p>Visitation will run from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18. Rev. James Small will officiate. Interment will be at Onarga Cemetery in Onarga, IL.</p>
<p>Betty McGuire was born Sept. 26, 1931 in Danforth, IL, a daughter of Bernard and Helen Decker Schriefer.</p>
<p>Survivors of Betty include one son, Greg McGuire of Onarga; one brother, Ron Decker of Onarga; two grandchildren, Austin and Megan; and one great-grandchild, Corbin.</p>
<p>She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harold Decker.</p>
<p>Betty was employed by Louis Melinds in Onarga for many years. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed life and spending time with her grandchildren.</p>

<p>Visitation will run from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka and for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, Feb. 18, also at the funeral home. Rev. Lee Ryan will officiate. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watseka, IL. Graveside military rites will be provided by Watseka American Legion Post #23 and the Iroquois County VFW Post #7450.</p>
<p>Mr. Peters was born Feb. 16, 1944 in Watseka, IL, a son of Donald and Dorothy Watts Peters. He married Patricia Traxler on April 27, 1968 in Watseka, IL and she survives.</p>
<p>Other survivors include one daughter and special friend, Dawn Peters of Watseka and David Peters of Earl Park, IN; one son and special friend, Shawn Peters and Bobbi Lee of Watseka; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Shirley and Larry Smith of Watseka, Mary Barnard of Midland, TX and Ginger and David Howe of Sheldon; eight grandchildren, John Kidwell, Austin Kidwell, Katie Kidwell, Samantha Fisher, Madelyn Peters, Ashton Peters, Hunter Lee and Lucas Lee; and numerous nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>He was preceded in death by his parents.</p>
<p>Mr. Peters served in the U.S. Army. He was Water Superintendent for the City of Watseka for thirty-five years. He was a member of St. Edmund&#8217;s Catholic Church in Watseka and was a former member of the Watseka American Legion Post #23. He enjoyed horses and rodeos.</p>
<p>Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Donald A. Burnett, 88, of Onarga, IL passed away on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, IL.</p>
<p>Visitation will run from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga and for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Feb. 17, also at the funeral home. Rev. Elizabeth Reis will officiate. Burial will be at Onarga Cemetery in Onarga, IL. Military graveside rites will be provided by the Onarga American Legion Post #551.</p>
<p>Mr. Burnett was born Nov. 19, 1921 in Delrey, IL, a son of Alva and Minnie Mormon Burnett. He married Irene Bretzman on July 3, 1951 in Onarga, IL and she survives.</p>
<p>Other survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Sandra Eshleman of Watseka, Barbara Thorne of Onarga, Christine and Charles Barham of Strawn, IL and Peggy and Earl Dennison of Rantoul, IL; one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond and Nancy Rohr of Green Cove Springs, FL; two sisters, Lucy Hall of Indiana and Betty Gagne of California; two brothers, Robert Burnett of Tucson, AZ and Richard Burnett of Urbandale, IA; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren and two great-great-granchildren.</p>
<p>Preceding Mr. Burnett in death were his parents, two sisters and one daughter.</p>
<p>Mr. Burnett was a carpenter for Zirkle Construction and Stoller &amp; Morrow in Fairbury and was a member of Carpenter&#8217;s Local. He was also a member of the Onarga United Methodist Church in Onarga and the Onarga American Legion Post #551 and the VFW.</p>
<p>Memorials may be made to the Onarga United Methodist Church.</p>

<p>Mrs. Krumwiede was born February 14, 1923, in Ash Grove Twp., IL, a daughter of Henry and Emilie Hoppe Seggebruch.  She married Adolph F. &#8220;Audy&#8221; Krumwiede on February 15, 1940.  He preceded her in death on December 5, 2001.</p>
<p>Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Ann (Elroy) Cluver of Buckley, IL and Janice (Marvin) Fritchley of Cissna Park; two sons, Ronald (Shirley) Krumwiede and Richard (Glenda) Krumwiede both of Cissna Park; one brother, Melvin (Marlene) Seggebruch of Onarga; one sister, Ruth E. Cluver of Cissna Park; eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, eleven step-great-grandchildren and twelve step-great-great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and five sisters.</p>
<p>Mrs. Krumwiede was a lifetime member of St. John&#8217;s Lutheran Church, Ash Grove where she served as custodian for 17 years.  She was an active member of St. John&#8217;s Ladies Aid for 40 years.  Frieda enjoyed making quilts and Chrismons ornaments and was an avid Cubs fan.  She and her husband farmed for many years and retired in Cissna Park.</p>
<p>Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, February 15 at St. John&#8217;s Lutheran Church, Ash Grove.  The Rev. Kevin Wendorf will officiate.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.</p>
<p>Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Sunday, February 14 at Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park and 1 hour prior to the service at the church.</p>
<p>Memorials may be made to St. John&#8217;s Lutheran Church, Ash Grove or Donor&#8217;s Choice.</p>

<p>Mr. Taden was born July 31, 1925 in Crescent Twp. in Iroquois County, IL, a son of Johann and Helena Gocken Taden.</p>
<p>Survivors of Mr. Taden include one brother, Harold Taden, of Watseka and one sister, Marie Fawbush, also of Watseka.</p>
<p>He was preceded in death by his parents and five brothers.</p>
<p>Mr. Taden was a truck driver and mechanic. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.</p>

<p>Mr. DeLong was born Feb. 6, 1930 in Cutmer, IL, a son of Bert and Viola Mahan DeLong. He married Beverly Comer on Dec. 18, 1949 in Stockland, IL and she survives.</p>
<p>Other survivors of Mr. DeLong include one daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Dan Gregory of Watseka; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Craig and Denise DeLong of Stockland and Billy DeLong of Gilman, IL; one daughter-in-law, Ingrid Schwenneker of Alabama; six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Sennett; one son, Douglas DeLong; one granddaughter, Katie DeLong; and one great-grandson, Jason Hedden.</p>
<p>Mr. DeLong was a life-long farmer in the Stockland area. He was a member of the Milford Christian Church and he was an avid gardener.</p>

Maltman of Illinois; two daughters and one son-in-law, Vickie J. and Garry Cole of Colfax, IL and Cindy Green of Bloomington, IL; seven grandchildren, James, Sarah, Alesha, Ashlei, Haleigh, Jennifer and Chelsi; two great-grandsons, Anthony and Colton James; two brothers, Gene Hastings of Lady Lake, FL and Butch Kincade of Houston, TX; and one niece, Angie Reid of Fairbury, IL.</p>
<p>Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Gerry Corvillian.</p>

<p>Other survivors of Mr. Carlson include one son, Rick E. Carlson of Sheldon; his mother, Donna Carlson of Donovan; one brother, Michael Carlson of Sheldon; one sister, Peggy Paro of Watseka; and several nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>He was preceded in death by his father.</p>
<p>Mr. Carlson was the Warehouse Manager at Canady Labs. He was a member of the Sheldon Church of Christ, where he served as elder, Sunday School teacher, Superintendent and Church Board Secretary. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved to help others.</p>
<p>Memorials may be made to the Sheldon Church of Christ.</p>
