Evelyn Marletta Stanton, 66, Rankin, IL

Evelyn Marletta Stanton, 66, of Rankin passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at her home.

Evelyn was born July 19, 1946 in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of William and Bertha Ruck Morris. 

Surviving are two sons, Randal Stanton and Robert “Bobby” Riggle both of Rankin; one daughter, Sherry Ratts-Stanton of Rankin; one granddaughter, Amanda “Poo Poo” Ratts of Rantoul; three brothers; and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her significant other, Joseph Kearns, who died on February 18, 2011.

Mrs. Stanton enjoyed playing bingo with her best friend, Charlene, going to amusement parks and camping.  She loved being a mother.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Knapp Funeral Home in Rankin.  Rita Corley will officiate.  Burial will be in the Rankin Union Cemetery.

Memorials may be made for the family’s wishes.
