David A. Allen, 68, Milford, IL

David Arthur Allen, 68, of Milford passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Provena St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee.

David was born May 31, 1944 in Watseka, a son of Arthur Franklin and Viola Mae Long Allen.  He married Ronnda A. Montgomery on April 6, 1974 in Milford and she survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Darci Lynn Allen and Marci Lee (Bill) Lowe all of Milford; one brother, Maurice (Awana) McIntyre of Georgia; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; one sister; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Allen was a member of the Milford Christian Church.  He served in the Air Force as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the 12:00 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford.  Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Milford with military graveside rites by Watseka American Legion Post #23 and Iroquois County VFW Post #7450.
