Beverly H. Marion, 88, Holly Springs, NC

Beverly H. Marion, 88, of Holly Springs, NC and formerly of Watseka passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Uni-Health Post Acute Care in Raleigh, NC.

Beverly was born February 27, 1925 in Chebanse, the daughter of George and Tillie Lesco Kaufman.  She married Ivan Marion on June 4, 1943 and he preceded her in death.

Surviving are three sons, Russell (Maree) Marion of Summerville, SC, Wayne (Marlene) Marion of Jonesboro, GA and Dale (Melanie) Marion of Holly Springs, NC; three daughters, Sharon Lynch of Las Cruces, NM, Mary Eades of Tompkinsville, KY and Loretta (Ben) Both of Castle Rock, CO; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; one sister; one son; and one grandson.

Mrs. Marion was a former member of the Centennial Christian Church in Watseka and a member of Royal Neighbors of America.  She graduated from Donovan High School in 1943 and was employed at Farm Service Agency in Watseka for many years.  Beverly was a 4-H leader for several years.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.  Joe Hughes will officiate.  Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Martinton.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association or donor’s choice.
