Ruth J. Stowe, 79, of Oakwood, IL passed away on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, IL.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 19, at Maple Grove Cemetery in Milford, IL.

Ms. Stowe was born March 5, 1931 in Glenwood, IL, a daughter of Silas and Marie O’Laughlin Stowe. She worked in the medical field as a nurse.

Survivors include one nephew, Kenneth Stowe Jr.; two great-nephews; and one great-niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Milford or Donor’s Choice.
