Pearl Hendricks, 91, Rankin, IL

Pearl Hendricks, 91, of Rankin, IL passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at her home.

Visitation will run from 5 p.m. on Friday, July 9, until the 7 p.m. service at Knapp Funeral Home in Rankin. Rev. Janet Longtin will officiate. Private graveside services will be held at Rankin Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Hendricks was born Feb. 4, 1919 in London, KY, a daughter of Newton and Mary Belle DeZarn Allen. She married Francis “Red” Hendricks on Feb. 28, 1947 in Potomac and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1995.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, James and Kris Dailey of Peru, IN, Mark and Sherri Hendricks and Dean Hendricks all of Rankin; five grandchildren, including Jeff and Alicia Hendricks; one step-daughter, Shirley Ross of Gary, IN; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, three sisters and one son.

Mrs. Hendricks was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Rankin Senior Citizens Club, and the United Methodist Women.
