Meredith Bradley Eilers, 65, Milford, IL

Meredith Bradley Eilers, 65, of Milford passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

Meredith Lynn Bradley was born June 20, 1945, in San Leandro, CA, to Otha Douglas and Juanita Mae Meredith Bradley.

She graduated from La Sierra Academy in Riverside, CA, in 1963.  She attended La Sierra University and University of California at Santa Barbara without pursuing a degree, and she earned an associate’s degree in agriculture from Kankakee Community College in 1978.  She worked as a receptionist at the Field Museum and as a medical transcriptionist before becoming a homemaker.

She married Dennis Eilers on October 19, 1975.  They have resided in rural Milford, IL since 1987 and are members of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church at Schwer.  They have three children: Catherine Eilers (husband, Daniel Fitzgerald) of Kansas City, MO, Jonathan Eilers and Andrew Eilers, both of Milford.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her older brother, Winston Bradley.  She is survived by her husband, children and son-in-law.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka and 1 hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service on Friday, July 9, 2010 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Schwer.  The Rev. Matt Steendahl will officate.  Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Schwer. 

Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Schwer or Lutheran World Relief.
