Derrick Gaddis, 42, Milford, IL

Derrick Gaddis, 42, of Milford, IL passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka, IL.

Visitation will run from 10 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service on Saturday, June 12, at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford. Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate. Burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston, IL.

Mr. Gaddis was born Aug. 16, 1967 in Chicago, IL, a son of Butch and Gwendolyn McCain Gaddis.

Survivors include his mother, Gwendolyn Gaddis of Birmingham, AL; one sister, Cynthia McCain of Danville, IL; one nephew, Deitrich Gaddis of Danville, IL; his fiancee, Ronda Buhrmester of Milford; one step-brother, Vincent Gaddis of California; and his grandmother, Sally McCain of Chicago.

Preceding him in death was his father, Butch Gaddis.

Mr. Gaddis loved canoeing, softball and football and enjoyed collecting stamps and coins. He was an Illini fan. He was currently enrolled at DACC in the Wind Technology Program. He worked at Uarco for fifteen years and at Baltimore Air Coil for eight years.
