David E. Zirkle, 61, Onarga, IL

David E. Zirkle, 61, of Onarga, IL, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 at the Gilman Healthcare Center in Gilman, IL after losing his battle with cancer.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 28, at the Onarga Cemetery in Onarga, IL. Rev. Elizabeth Reis will officiate.

Mr. Zirkle was born July 11, 1948 in Watseka, IL, a son of Frank and Maybelle Kammermann Zirkle.

Survivors include his mother, Maybelle Zirkle of Crystal Lake, IL; one sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Bob Frerichs of Crystal Lake, IL; two nephews and many cousins.

Preceding him in death was his father, Frank Zirkle.

Mr. Zirkle was a carpenter for many years in Memphis, TN. He loved to fish and for the past 10 years he had been a loving caretaker of his mother.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Donor’s Choice.
