Dennis J. Benedict, 49, of Joliet, IL, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2010 at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, IL.

Private family services will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.

Mr. Benedict was born Nov. 16, 1960 in Streator, IL, a son of Clifford and Dottie Mohr Benedict.

Survivors include his father, Clifford Benedict, of Paxton and two daughters and one son-in-law, Denise Benedit of Joliet and Jennifer and Eric McQuinn of Parker, CO.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.

Mr. Benedict had served in the US Marine Corp.
