Barbara Ann LaReau, 73, Watseka, IL

Barbara Ann LaReau, 73, of Watseka, IL, passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at Sioux Valley Hospice in Sioux Falls, SD.

Visitation will run from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, at Segur-Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka and for one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Friday, May 28, at the First United Methodist Church in Watseka. Rev. Paul Copeland will officiate. Burial will be at Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon, IL.

Mrs. LaReau was born Nov. 19, 1936 in Wellington, IL, a daughter of Andrew and Freda Buck Mayotte. She married Roger LaReau in Sheldon, IL. He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1993.

Survivors include two sons, Darren and Stephanie LaReau of Danville, IL and Michael LaReau and Penny Dekan of Crooks, SD; and four grandchildren, Kelsey LaReau, Hannah LaReau, Andrew LaReau and Melissa LaReau.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ronald Mayotte.

Mrs. LaReau was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Watseka. She was also actively involved with civic, choral and band groups within the area. She was a claims auditor with Country Companies for many years.

Memorials may be made to Sanford Hospice Cottage.
