Raymond “Raymie” Carlson Jr., 58, Sheldon, IL

Raymond “Raymie” Carlson Jr., 58, of Sheldon, IL passed away on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, IL.

Visitation will run from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11 at Knapp Funeral Home in Sheldon, where services will be held  at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12. Rev. Van Haas will officiate. Interment will be at the Sheldon Cemetery in Sheldon, IL.

Mr. Carlson was born Sept. 30, 1951 in Watseka, IL, a son of Raymond E. and Donna J. Seibring Carlson Sr. He married Patsy L. Williamson on June 21, 1975 in Donovan, IL and she survives.

Other survivors of Mr. Carlson include one son, Rick E. Carlson of Sheldon; his mother, Donna Carlson of Donovan; one brother, Michael Carlson of Sheldon; one sister, Peggy Paro of Watseka; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Carlson was the Warehouse Manager at Canady Labs. He was a member of the Sheldon Church of Christ, where he served as elder, Sunday School teacher, Superintendent and Church Board Secretary. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved to help others.
