Barbara P. Hayslett, 77, of Milford, IL passed away on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at Danville Care Center in Danville, IL.

Visitation will run from 4-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at Knapp Funeral Home in Milford, where a Memorial Service will also be held that day at 5:15 p.m. Rev. Neil Larimore will officiate. Cremation rites were accorded and burial will be at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Stockland, IL at a later date.

Mrs. Hayslett was born January 8, 1933 in Milford, IL, a daughter of Leroy “Bus” and Mary Frances Ashby Doud. She married Cecil Hayslett on June 15, 1951 in Milford. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1996.

Surviving Mrs. Hayslett are one son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Kelly Hayslett of Normal, IL; two daughters and one son-in-law, Karen and Tom Liebing of Glen Ellyn, IL and Rhonda Gustine of Danville; two grandchildren and spouse, Danielle Hayslett and Michael and Allison Douglass; one great-grandchild, Landen Douglass; one sister, Doris Plimpton of Kentucky; and two brothers, Ted and Norman Doud of Milford.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Marjorie Uttenweiler.

Mrs. Hayslett was a member of the United Methodist Church in Milford. She was the former owner and operator of The Yarn Barn in Milford. She enjoyed quilting and handcrafts.

Memorials may be made to the Milford Chamber of Commerce, the Alzheimers Association or Donor’s Choice.
