Michael F. “Mickey” Kamp, 69, of Chebanse, IL passed away on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 at Momence Meadows Nursing Home in Momence, IL.
Visitation will run from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Faith Baptist Church in Bourbonnais where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. The Rev. Terry Anglea will officiate. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Chebanse, IL.
Mr. Kamp was born March 10, 1940 in Kanakakee, IL, a son of Donald and Coletta Gresens Kamp Sr. After Coletta passed away shortly after Michael’s birth, Donald Kamp Sr. married Dorothy Winkel and she adopted Michael as her son.
Survivors of Mr. Kamp include one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Korenn Kamp of Aroma Park, IL; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Leo Dumas of Bonfield, IL and Carol and Eugene Morgan of Lapine, OR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
Mr. Kamp worked at KCTC for 30 years. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Bourbonnais. He enjoyed cycling.
Memorials may be made to Kankakee Hospice or Faith Baptist Church.
